"Birdchick") 1,001 THINGS EVERY BIRDWATCHER SHOULD KNOW, a collection of birdwatching trivia designed to appeal to both casual backyard birdwatchers and more serious birders, with more than 300 color photographs, sold to Geoff Stone at Running Press for spring 2013 publication.

December 21, 2011 WIENERS GONE WILD, a full-color cookbook of 40 outrageous, gourmet hot dog recipes, from the Salty Dog (with cornmeal fried clams and Sriracha coleslaw) to the Hair of the Dog (with spicy bourbon ketchup and hash browns) to Weenie Wellington (with red wine-mushroom duxelles and puff pastry), sold to Jordana Tusman at Running Press for spring 2013 publication. The authors are none other than Hollan principals Holly Schmidt & Allan Penn.

November 21, 2011 Astrologer and author of LOVECASTS Judi Vitale's BABYSCOPES, an astrology guide for new parents, sold to Andrea Hakanson at Adams Media, for spring 2012 publication.

November 18, 2011 Founder of www.smoothieweb.com Shell Harris and Elizabeth Johnson's SKINNY SMOOTHIES, a collection of recipes for smoothies for weight loss and detox, sold to Katie McHugh at Da Capo Lifelong, at auction, for January 2013 publication.

September 16, 2011 Keith Riegert at Ulysses Press bought Janet Frongillo's MOMMY MIXOLOGY: A Cocktail for Every Calamity, a humorous cocktail guide for new moms, for publication in spring 2012.

September 14, 2011 Food blogger Erin Nichols' (of www.erincooks.com) POPTAILS, a collection of recipes for alcoholic popsicles, sold to Keith Riegert at Ulysses Press, for spring 2012 publication. Photographs by Allan Penn.

August 17, 2011 Founders of The Cake Ball Company in Dallas, Texas Charlotte Lyon and Robin Ankeny's CAKE BALLS, a cookbook with 50 recipes for delicious, elegant, and easy-to-make (using cake mix and store-bought frosting!) bite-size treats, sold to Jordana Tusman at Running Press, at auction, for publication in 2012 (World). July 15, 2011 - Meg Leder at Perigee bought Cary McNeal's sequel to 1,001 FACTS THAT WILL SCARE THE S#*T OUT OF YOU, in a pre-empt, for publication in Fall 2012. The first book has sold over 100,000 copies in its first year on sale,

so we're very excited to be continuing the series!

May 27, 2011 - Owners of Cakelava in Kailua, Hawaii, Rick Reichart, of TLC's Cake Crew, and Sasha Reichart's EXTREME CAKEOVERS, a cake decorating cookbook with 40 projects for easily transforming ho-hum supermarket sheet cakes and

other common store-bought ingredients, including candies and doughnuts, into spectacular cakes that look like they

came out of a specialty bakery, with stunning before and after photos, sold to Rica Allannic and Ashley Phillips
